Done!!! That's exactly what you need to do to put those pillowball mounts on. After jack standing the car up and with the right tools...it took maybe ten minutes to take the old top bearing mounts off and put the pillowball mounts on. You need a deep 17" socket to get the top nut off the stock bearing mount. Also, in order to keep the strut assembly from spinning while trying to get the nut off...we put a pair of grips on the shaft to hold it steady. Don't worry they did not make as much as a scratch on the shaft. Overall, it was a nice mod, now my car doesn't make that grinding sound when I turn the wheels and there is no pop or clunk when I back up. The spring perch bearing on one of my top bearing mounts was completely gone. Oh and if you have aftermarket springs...make sure they are seated correctly in the spring seat when you let the car down or you will be having a bad day.
