I bought a B&M transmission cooler for a 96 Q45 and took of the plastic cover that is between the AC condensor and radiator. It looks like there is room but there is a thin aluminum tube running horizontally between the Condensor and radiator about halfway down. The tube doesn't move and looks like it will be in the way of installation.

Does anybody know how to install the cooler between the cond and rad? Has anybody who installed one had the small tube?

Thanks all

Yeah, the tube can get in the way...it depends though. Go ahead and try to dry fit it in there. If the cooler is pressing on the tube enough to bend it more than a 1/4" or so then use another option. There should be just enough room below the tube to fit the cooler. This means you can drill through the radiator bottom flange and directly screw the cooler to that flange. That will take out up-down and side-side loads. Use the plastic zip-tie rods on the cooler top flange with the foam pads to secure the top of the cooler and take out the remaining front-back movement. The rubber lines curve up and around the radiator. Use tie-straps every few inches to secure the rubber lines to the radiator vanes (not the fins).

Daedulus, do you have any of your expert photography illustrating this installation?
