Has anybody tried to do that? I would like to do that but I wasn't sure if it worked properly. I didn't see a previous topic for it so sorry if it's an old discussion.

The only thing that you would benefit is the mp3 6 disc feature. Your S model does not have the upgraded speakers, subwoofer or tweeters. Otherwise it will work.

pretty much plug and play as far as swapping them out. Just make sure you dont unplug the airbag deploy light, your hozed if you do that.

I upgraded mine with one i got off ebay. I upgraded for the aux. jack and the ability to use the kit for the apple jack in the back. You also can play mp3's on the 6 cd changer, which is good.

probably the best upgrade worth the money if you want it to look stock imo.

I did this in about :20 min.

Easy Plug-n-play

Watch air bag light - DO NOT UN-PLUG IT!!!

I did it for my college kid - thus keeping it stock to reduce theft.

If you want better sound go after market & replace speakers also.

If just want mp3's to play in CD & Aux jack then this is the trick.

Only if you find an SL head unit at a good price......

Thanks alot guys. Not too worried about the speakers and like big sound. The S speakers are decent enough for me. I'm not sure about doing it myself (I don't trust my own hands LOL) but I'll look into it. Just wasn't sure about installing an SL radio in that model. And I will make sure I will not unplug the airbag cord LOL

And is there an online step-by-step for this or a topic discussing this already? I'm going to look but wanted to see if anybody knew off-hand
