Well im installing the dual s13 exhaust cams on my S14 KA24DET today, How should I adjust my fuel to compensate for the cams? Im currently at 9 PSI on my T04B .60/.58 with 370CC and S-AFCII and I beleive that my MAF is maxing out from my S-AFCII reading 5.1 V at full boost.

Is there going to be a major difference in the air pressure going into my cylinders where im going to have to make some changes to my AFC maps?

And if so, how major or minor are these fuel changes going to have to be?

Well the 248 cams are gonna allow more air in the engine, but your gonna need to upgrade your MAF first...whats the point in more air if you can't read it?

Is it going to make THAT much of a difference in the air pressure for each cylinder?

Would I be running the risk of blowing my motor if I put these cams in now?

Now don't get me wrong, i'm not saying puttin them in will blow your motor or anything...just explaining the risks of adding them or even continuing your current setup.

Think of it this way...your maf reads how much air is coming into your engine. Now if your maf is maxed out at full boost there's a chance that there's more air going into the engine then your ecu knows. If your ecu and maf don't know the air is there it can't add fuel to match...

Now i may be talking outta my ***, but this is my understanding of the whole "maxing out the maf" thing...never delt much with mafs, i'm going with a map setup instead...

yeah, but the MAF has allready read all that air that came into the engine, the cams just allow more air to go into the piston. all that air should have allready been metered. right?(sorry if am wrong but this sounds logic)

He is already bumping up against the metering cap. Sucking more air may push him above that cap, causing him to go lean. That would be bad.
