I'm planning on buying brembo cross drilled slotted rotors for my 1993 240sx. Will they fit with my stock rims, mines are caps? I don't want the rotors to grind against the rims, since they're probably going to be bigger than the stock rotors. Has anyone run into this problem?

they should fit fine with the stock rims. you may have to get a spacer that any wheel shop should be able to provide. if you need a spacer, chances are you will need ET nuts that will provide more thread for securing the rims.... this only being if you are upgrading the calipers to Z32.... if you are only replacing the rotors i don't see why you should have a problem...

this answer being based purely on watching videos and no actualy wrenchtime

If the stock are stock size, there will fit with no problemBut if the rotors are bigger, the wheels are the least of your problems.Even I have a set available for sale. brand new!!!

Thanks for the help guys. Bought the rotors and the installation went smoothly.

My friend at the shop wasn't worried about my stated problem here, he was more concerned if i knew the rotors that i had bought was for road use, or just "show". Because one time he helped some kid install rotors only to have him come back saying the brakes were not grabbing at all. Turns out the rotors the kid bought was for "show" only. The ones you see at car shows that are shiny and smooth. funny :D :)

All i need now is some real rims to show off my rotors.

Have fun replacing them when they crack here in a year or so and having to replace them. Or when they warp from extended street use and going to a shop only to find that they can't be turned. CD/Slotted rotors are for track cars and ricers...

Rice? I'll just ignore that and most people on this forum have from this post.

Your post sounded pretty biased to me. Just because you experienced or witnessed badluck doesn't mean that I will.

This will be used for track once i get the necessary parts >>
