Installing Roof Rails on 2010 EX35

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I recently bought a 2010 EX35 Journey that came without factory installed roof rails. I know in past years it was not possible to get the rails installed after the fact, but I'm wondering if anyone knows if this is still the case with the 2010.

The dealer seems to think that it is possible, but since they don't have a body shop they're telling me I'd have to purchase the parts then get them installed elsewhere...so I'd like to find out if this is really feasible rather than ending up with a set of roof rails I can't use.

Thanks!

I got 2 different stories.
one of the body shop i know, told me it is possible.
the Dealership told me its not.
the real question is "do you really want to spend that much just for the roof rail"?
the preminum package that includes the roof rail is around $2000
to install the roof rail alone will cost about $900 to $1100.
that includes the $800 parts, and labors.
each side of the roof rail cost around $400 from Infiniti factory. for both side will cost $800.
I was trying to get it too on my ex. but for that price, its just not worth it.
