 i feel dumb for asking this. but i just bought some reverse indiglo gauges for my 90 240sx. how you install these things? it didnt come with great detailed instructions. i did take all the screws off the dash around the steering wheel and stock gauges. i tried pulling on it and no luck, is there something behind the gauges that i need to release or something?

is there a website that could assist me too?

thank you for the help.

besure to drop your steering column, there are four bolts that is holding it up. Take off the two closest to your steering wheel and the other two by the firewall only have to come out to their last threads but still holding the column up. Then take off the plastic piece that holds your emergency lights/headlight popup/cruise etc and unhook the wires to those switches. Now there should be three screws holding the gauge cluster in. Take those out. There are three harnesses behind the cluster. When that's off, you can pop off the front of it by pushing the little tabs on the side of the cluster inwards. Once that's done, "DO NOT TAKE OFF THE NEEDLES!!!" or you will ruin your cluster. The reverse gauges will slide on through the holes... just be patient. If you take out the needles, they will no longer work accurately or at all so be for warn.

as for wiring... I took out one of the stock bulbs that would normally light up the gauge cluster and wire it up to the terminals, if you want more complete instructions, e-mail me and I'll get back to you.

this is probably a little late, but before splicing the wires, you should have just plugged them in to check if they are the right wires and also change the colors to make sure they are working.
