So I started installing my strut bar. Found out that my strut assemblies are to close together (Wierd). So tonight I got around to taking the tire off . . . separating the the rotor from the strut and undoing the endlinks. Finally, Able to get it centered and put into place, put everything back together, and was tightening the strut bar onto the strut assembly . . . SNAP! the bolt that comes from racingline breaks.

I am like dead tired, Dont know how I snapped it. Now the rest of the bolt is still stuck in the assembly. I test drove it and felt fine but tomorrow have to go to lowes and get a new bolt and wrench out the old one.

Just sharing my experience

Mine didn't break; but after spending much more time trying to line everything up (than it should have taken) I discovered that one of the bolts that came with it had messed up threads that made it unusable. So I had to go to Home Depot and buy a replacement. After finally getting it all together I couldn't stand the one Racingline bolt being a goldish color when the factory ones (and the HD replacement) being silver, so I replaced it with another from Home Depot too. Haven't had any more problems though.

I know that this thread is very old, but yesterday i installed my Racingline strut bar. I have same issues with the OEM bolts. Very cheap and small to take the strut base easy..It can be done but it's a bit difilcult. I highly recommend to buy larger replacements for a better and easy installation.

Are all of you having problems during install or did any of you install the FSB and the bolts broke while driving?

Strut bar is nice. It is a pain for some but not for all. I would say go for it. Once i got it on i haven't touched it. Buy new hardware though. Racingline hardware is horrible! I don't know what those Canadians are doing. But it defiantly helps the car.

Supplied hardware is 10.9 material( same as oem). I'm curious as what you find inferior about it?

I don't think inferior is the best word, but I agree with most everyone else. I love my strut-bar from you guys but the bolts that were supplied with it are horrible. I had to go to the hardware store and replace one because the threads on it were so bad it wasn't usable. I'm not upset over it, the new bolt wasn't expensive by any means but it was an inconvenience that the included hardware wasn't usable. One of the other bolts had a really bad burr on it too, but it was still usable. Maybe the bolts I received were part of a bad batch from your supplier. The bar and the brackets are top quality though! I'm a repeat buyer and still love your products, and the customer service though.
