Installing Phase 2 fuel injectors on a 90-93 Q45??

Hello, I haven't posted in a while, I own a 90 infiniti Q45. I found a write up on Q45.org about upgrading the phase 1 fuel injectors from a 90-93 Q45 to phase 2 injectors from a 94-96 Q45. I have my plenum off right now and I wanted to ask if a nico member that has actually installed this upgrade would give me advice or insight about the donuts that install underneath each injector into the lower plenum. Would it be easier to install the old donuts from my 90-93 fuel rails along with the 94-96 fuel rails and injectors? I have the donuts from a 94-96 q45 but the diameter is a lot smaller, has anyone installed the lower plenum parts from a 94-96 Q45 into a 90-93 engine, just to make use of the phase 2 94-96 q45 donuts? Don't know which way to go right now, Im getting a code that says i have an injector leak, decided to do this upgrade. I don't have the lower plenum parts from a 94-96 q45 right now, but i might have to make a trip to the junk yard, kind of regret not grabbing those when i fetched the phase 2 injector and fuel rails from a 94 q45. Please any responses will be greatly appreciated!

when you say donuts, do you mean the injector O-rings? or the circular rings under the top plenum?

im refering to the circular rubber rings in between the lower plenum and the fuel rails.

I have a 1990 Q that I upgraded the injectors/fuel rail assembly to the phase II style. What I did was keep the rubber foam type seals in the lower plenum runner injector ports and I mounted the fuel rail assembly directly to the lower plenum without the little black plastic washers/spacers and the injector housing fit down snug into the seals on the lower intake runner injector ports. I have been driving it that way with no issues for a year or more now. You will need the phase II injector harness also of course.
