Installing passenger net

I just purchased a storage net that comes with 2006/07 350Z and fits on the transmission tunnel on the passenger side. I want to install this net on my 2005 350Z. There are 6 clips that hold the net in place, 3 on top & 3 on bottom. These clips sell for over $7 each! I would prefer to mount the net to the inside of the door for the storage compartment behind the passenger seat using screws. Does anyone have any idea as to how deep the door is? I have seen info for an interior dash net that was sold by Courtesy Nissan out of Texas. This net was to mount on the front of the storage compartment door. It was much wider than the current net offered.Any info would be appreciated. You can email me at [email protected] Thanks.
