INSTALLING OEM NAVIGATION UNIT IN M45

Hey guys im new to this forum but not new to nissan/infiniti. i just recently bought a 2006 M45 at a good deal. It only has one flaw and thats no navigation.

Can anyone help me out and tell me what componants i need to convert to NAVI .

Do i just need the controls and dvdrom?

If the wire harness is exactly the same, I can't imagine that you can't buy all the components 1) Navigation unit (goes behind glove box), and the GPS antenna, (which goes inside the front center speaker casing).

But wouldn't an aftermarket kit be a lot less expensive like a garmin?

the OEM unit is a 7inch screen. Does the non-GPS unit have the same size measurements? I noticed on the non GPS G35 units are alot smaller than the G35's with GPS units.

That would be the one thing you research.

Exactly right.

Best to install an after-market unit instead of trying to force-fit an OEM nav unit into a car that does not have one from the factory. Too many changes needed (including the console).
