i just received my universal nismo fpr w/nismo fuel rail adapter. it does not seem like a hard job. i will take off the hood for a little more access. the 2 screws look like a ***** to get too, but other than that its just hooking up the right hoses. does any one have any pics as a reference. i am still a shadetree noob when it comes to doing my own work. thanks

p.s. i did read how to adjust my fpr when installed, just wanted to make sure im installing it correct.

It installs just like the stocker, with the exceptionof possibly having to do a little re-modifying of the return side. Just put it on and you'll see for yourself what needs to be done.

youve got the universal one? itll require a mounting bracket. i went to home depot and got some 3/4" aluminum bar stuff, and bent it to 90 degrees. then i drilled some holes in it and mounted it to my passenger side strut tower where something was previously mounted. the screws arent hard to get to, just make sure you have a very short, fat, phillips head screwdriver. also, do it when its warm because cold fuel lines dont want to cooperate. ive got a picture but no way of posting it because its on my phone. if youve got cingular and can recieve picture messages ill send it to you. doesnt seem to want to work for me across different networks.

Not a bad idea unless you want a fuel bath.

In order to get the the 2 screws, I used a 1/4 socket wrench with an adapter for a philips head bit. Other than that, it was like a 10 minute job installing it. Just make sure you use Ryan's how to in order to set the fuel pressure.

follow up: i go to unloose the 2 screws and one is stripped, so i left it alone. i went ahead and installed my fuel pressure gauge and the pressure read 36psi when i turned the ignition on. that seem fine to me. i wont even worry about the new nismo fpr right now. what else could be causing my car to run rich. im tired of the black bumper. could my SAFC be the culprit. the shop could have set the injectors to flow more to get me more hp.

i do have z32 maf, new plugs and 02 sensor if that helps.

If you had mentioned in your first post that you were using that thing (safc), I would've pointed the finger at it first. Take it to a dyno and let someone tune it or you'll wear out your rings with all that rich running.
