Hi all,

I picked up '96 Altima with the orginal tape deck in it, which gives me a great excuse to do some audio upgrades. I want to install 6.5" component speakers in the front, which apparently is possible, but I haven't seen specifics on how to do it. Do I end up discarding the plastic mounting bracket? Do I need to make an MDF spacer? Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't recall having to dumping the plastic, but if I remember with my kappa 63.5i install, I did have to trim a few parts here and there on the bracket. Where you'd put the tweeters, dunno that's really your call and you might be punching a hole in the door panel for that. Have a hot glue gun handy for that one.
