Installing new 6.5" speakers all around

Took apart the door today and see that the stock speaker is a three hole triangular mount... If I were to buy new speakers should I just drill new holes? What about insulation? Thanks!

well heres what i did yes it takes 6.5 speakers but you cant put the same size in the hole unless you put i a spacer if you dont it wont fint i tryed unless you realy wanna do some cuting what i did was drimle out the old spaker and used it as a spacer for the replacement that is what i did i also taked with a shop nere me thay told me that thay would make a spacer for the new speaker so i just cheated and used the old speaker as a spacer.

I did the same thing, but I put foam between the new speakers and the spacer and attached the new speaker with the spacer using zip ties.

There is a plastic adaptor that can be purchased at any real stereo shop made by scosche that makes that speaker a perfect fit unless you have a really deep speaker.

I bought this adaptor off ebay. I will be using it for my 6.5" PG components when they get here Monday.
