I purchased an SL 2010 that did not have the navigation system, and now am wishing I had the ability to hook up my IPOD and load music into the "music box" is there a way to upgrade after purchase?

2 choices. The least expensive, direct approach is to buy a portable navigation system. The other is to install a carPC which will allow you interface your ipod as well as get internet map info (assuming you have unlimited data plan on tethered cell phone).

Timmbo is 100% correct, no easy way. By the time you're done spending $'s on parts and labor, you'd be further ahead to trade up to an LE with all the bells and whistles. Unless of course you are proficient in electronics installs, have access to the Nissan parts bin, and have plenty of time! Lots of good deals on Garmins of late, and they are much cheaper to update than our Nav software.
