installing MSD blaster coil PN8207

In the instructions for this coil it they say you need a .8 ohm resistor wired in series on the positive coil wire on vehicles witgh non-current limiting ingnition systems. So do i need one to use this coil on a 91 240? thanks

im not sure. i would try it with the resistor at first just to see what happens.
