Installing MSD 7AL, need some info

I traded my msd btm for a 7al striaght up to cnicholos. on the side there are 4 wires i have to hook up

coil +coil -pointsignition switch

the points and ignition switch are no problem, i know from my btm. now im sure my btm went into the coil but im not sure which is + and which is -. i still have my other distributor already tapped into the inside (s14 uses internal coils).

also on the body of the 7al near where the rpm pills go in is a sport marked GROUND should i ground this? next to it is a plug for a tach i guess for after market tach. also there is a red and black wire on the other side. this is suppose to go to the battery. do i hook this striaght up to the battery or should i use some other 12v source?

i just picked up a btm for my s14, would you mind telling me a little about the install? did you end up getting the tach adapter from msd as well?thanks, i appreciate it

i got a 97 s14. i have a sci msd. im stuck on wiring it up, do i have to buy an external coil? i opened up my distributir and saw all these dails and i didnt go no further. were at in south jersey are u? im in vineland.

on my 95' i have a SCi and i got a ext. coil . it was a b**ch to hook up . hell iam just slow sometimes.

if you click on the link i posted that will show you how to wire it in the internal coil. i should be installing this tomorrow. if you need help one day u can come by, i dont charge too much

Anthony is very good with installs. He did my MSD BTM and works great.

i got the 7al in today, went very smoothly. oncei figured out exactly which wires went where. if i have a diagram of the 7al if anyone needs help, basically the same as the 6al. i also have it for the btm
