I have searched everywhere and cant find enough info. Help is appreciated.

I have a 93 240 ka24det.

Im in the middle of wiring up MS1 v3 and need to locate the IAT sensor. The FSM says its in the air cleaner box but ive looked and there is none. I have a ECU pinout diagram and says it should be pin# 26 (I think. dont have the paperwork in front of me) But I also have a full wiring diagram for my car and there is no pin# 26.

Also I need to hoop up 4 wires from the Stepper IAC (could not find any info on this at all) but dont know the location or pin#'s to pull from. Would this be another name for AIV cause i located that.

Last one is the Fast Idle Solenoid. I need to tap a wire that comes out of the relay box for this.

You can find a link for the harness here http://www.megamanual.com/. Click on "Sensors and Wiring" on the left side, then the "V3 Mainboard" link near the top of the page.

I have a MS2 powerd, running Ka sitting in my car hole. Theres not much info on powering the Ka with MS right now, im the first guy on Nico to do so. Theres another guy with a CA that runs MS thats on here too.Heres a link that you might find helpful. zerothread?id=221623

First of all, there is no IAT sensor on your car. They didnt come with them untill later years. You need to buy a GM open element IAT sensor and bung and weld it into your IC piping.

Secondly, the main idle control for the KA is a thermal fast idle valve. This valve only needs 12 volts when the car is on, thats it.

I dunno about you guys but my 1990 204SX had an IAT sensor built into the air filter box. You can re-use it and recalibrate MSII for it, or buy your own (waste of money).Where the filter sits, on top or bottom of the box there is kind of an oval thingy with a plug. That's the sensor. The 240 ECU never used it for much , and you can run without it and not sacrifice dreveability, but it DOES have one. All S13s do, that's for sure. Dunno about OBDII S14s, but I know all S13 do.

In the below link, it looks like that top one for the stanza, sorry couldn't find a better pic but they are interchangeable, so in fact, the same.

none of the sensors say they are for a ka24de, just e. I dont think they were on the de until 95. Its supposed to be pin#26. I have a ecu pinout for my car and harness doent have anything there.

sil80 the GM open element is actually a better sensor, its suited for Turbo/supercharged engine because it has the thermoresistor exposed unlike a closed element which is sealed. What this means is that the sensor will be MORE accurate and responds faster. At a cost of $13-20 its worth the upgrade.

The IAT sensor should be mounted as close to the throttle body as you can.
