anything i need to know before i do this? anyone have a good little writeup I can follow? i have access to all the tools i should need (air tools and such) but are their any special tools i need to install the new ball joint? i bought the LCA with the joint already pressed in, so i shouldnt need a press, and I assume the job only entails undoing 2 bolts and torquing to specs. also how hard is it compared to the tension rods i installed a month ago? sorry for all the questions but i want to do this right the first time

Thanks in advance!!

Okay.......

1. Jack up car 2. Remove Tension rod nuts (x2) 3. Remove lower stabilizer bar end link bolt/washer/bushing4. Remove cotter pin on ball joint/ball joint nut5. Use pickle fork or dead blow hammer to break ball joint free of upright6. Remove FLCA nut and bolt......FLCA should drop out, ready for trash7. Reinstall in opposite order

Torque specs:

FLCA nut - 70 ft lbsBall joint crown nut (with cotter pin) - 55 ft lbsStabilizer end link bolt - 20 ft lbsTension rod bolts - 70 ft lbs

When you're finished, be sure to drive the car onto ramps and re-tighten the bolts to spec with the suspension weighted!! Unweighted tightening isn't the same!

Hope that helps. Almost forgot, be sure to double check that the new ball joint is pressed in all the way! That almost screwed me...... This is about one step above just swapping out the tension rods. You won't have a problem!
