Okay guys I am going to be installing a set of Blitz injectors into my S14 SR20DET and i was wondering does the intake manifold have to come off to install the injectors?

Any relevant info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys,

Seth

when i did it to my honda, no. I would think that the injectors sit ontop of the IM. If you look at it, it's common sense.

On the S14 SR, the injectors are underneath the runners, so, you might have to take off the intake to get to them, but i'm not sure. If you can get to them with the intake still on, bravo! Good luck!

I noticed that the injectors have like a cap on them that is held in by 2 screws. I was thinking that I may be able to take off the caps and see if the injectors will come right out. I'll let you guys know.

Any feedback please fill me in.

Thanks,

Seth

This is a total shot in the dark, but when i did injectors on my ka, you had to pull off the fuel rail, then they came out pretty easy. I dont know if an s14 sr is the same, ive never looked that closely. Good luck

You were right in thinking that all you have to do is pull the caps off of the injectors. Be careful not to strip the screws when you pull those caps off, you might want to try an impact screw driver to get them off. Im talking about a manual impact driver not a compressed air type. You should replace the o-rings while you have those injectors out also. Good luck and e-mail me if you have any other questions. ([email protected]) :ylsuper
