Hello everyone, I have a small problem, I'm currently installing HIDs onto my infiniti and can't seem to find the stock headlight harness to connect my HIDs harness to. Anybody have a pic or can tell me where the harness is located? Thanks

It's the harness that connects to the bulb...typically you only need to connect one as your aftermarket harness should control both ballasts off of one input.

There is also steps to replace bulbs in the FAQ/HowTo thread at the root of this sub-forum. I think his question is about wiring though, I think he already got to the bulb...

I'm going from the stock halogen bulbs to HIDs with ballasts. My stock headlights has a big silver metal harness attach to it that u rotate counter clock wise to remove but I didn't know if that's the one I need to attach the HIDs harness to or would I have to splice the wires since the connections are different. Thanks everyone for you'll input

The big silver things are the HID ballasts. They shouldn't rotate unless your pic didn't show something? They 'power' your bulbs. I suggest you contact TheRetrofitSource.com and get yourself a nice heavy duty relay harness and ask them for instructions on how to connect to your car. I wouldn't directly plug these into your cars electrical system without that relay...HID's draw a lot more power than your non-HID car can provide. It'll work, but IMO it's a hazard.

I wasn't talking about the new ones as pictured. On my m45, attached to the stock halogen is a silver piece that u rotate counter clockwise to remove before taking the bulb out. I was asking where is the stock harness located so I can connect the new harness onto.

This is how my headlight fixture is setup but the HIDs won't connect to the silver piece I pulled off the stock lights. So I was asking is there another location for a stock harness.

Oh. You already have HID's lol. That's your stock HID ignitor (in your new kit, it's those black rectangle boxes). So, you need to return the 9006 kit you bought and buy some D2S bulbs instead (such as the Osram CBI, CBH or CBB's) from TheRetrofitSource.com (eBay, Amazon, etc. are known to sell fake 'name brand' bulbs so I only trust TRS). The CBH's are the 'oldest' model of the 3 and therefor the cheapest. I have the CBI's. The newest Osram bulb is the CBB's.

You have factory HIDs.

I'm very familiar with HID's lol. I've had projector retrofits on one of my motorcycles ('13 Ninja ZX6R) and one of my cars ('99 Maxima). I've installed countless other HID kits for my '07 M35x and replaced the HID bulbs in my current '11 M56x.

Been 'round the block with HIDs a time or two lol.
