Installing flywheel, clutch - where does rear plate go?

Where does the rear plate/dust cover go? Between the flywheel and the block? Just want to make sure, because I can't remember where it came from...it's been such a long time since I pulled the transmission down :/

By this diagram it looks like it bolts directly up to the block. It's drawn up there with the flywheel not even in the picture.

Also, the rubber seal that is stuck to the bottom plate came halfway off...should I use rtv to seal it or use some type of edhesive? I know it gets really hot in there, so it would have to be something high-temp resistant

plate gose between the flyweel and block put in on before the flywheel
and as for the seal i guess you can rtv it on i drove my car for 6 mouths wihtout the plate at all but id sugest not doing that lol
