7 psi is FINE for your injectors. they should run up to 10psi b4 maxing out.

you dont need to retard timing till after 8psi, after that you should retard timing .5 degrees for every psi after 8.

to set timing, wait till your car is warmed up and unplug your TPS. shoot a timing light at the crank pulley and start clocking the distributor and watching the timing gun and which notch of the pulley it gun is shooting at.

Try mounting the SAFC firstMock up the piping

For easier/faster install, try to have, an extra fuel rail with the injectors already installextra oil pan with the bung already installedMock up the intercooler installAll gauges installedVaccumm lines routes sorted outfuel pump installed (not listed, NEEDED!!)

Run at the lowest boost possible, then raise it slowly.

Good luck!!

How are you doing the piping? Using mandrel bends or with a pipe bender?

1 day probably won't be enough. How many people are helping you?

I updated the "DOHC For Dummies" thread, as I forgot to include the recommendation of a Walbro fuel pump. I apologize if I mislead anyone to assuming the stock was up to the requirement.

The stock one could do a couple psi, but I view it as cheap insurance...worth waiting a short while for.

My friend will do the beding with a pipe bender, i am shooting for two days, maybe not enough if it does not run for saturday my brother will lend me another car so i can go to school. Another two friends will help which are mechanics and my brother who owns a junkyard.

Veilside180sx: mmm besides the 300zx fuel pump is there any other fuel pump that i can use??I can get a Maxima's fuel pump right now(free) and then on two or three weeks buy a walbro i need to install it this weekend since my friend already got the pipe bender.

The only other Nissan pump I would use (USDM) is the Z32 TT pump. It's proven to pump even more than the Walbro, but they are rare finds or really expensive.

With the walbro being $90 it's the cheapest and easiest route to go.

As for the piping, you can pre fabricate using PVC pipe.

If I were you, I will installed the fuel pump and SAFC first. Dont boost without a pump. 90 bucks pump is cheaper than your engine and your fpr will handle the extra flow.
