Installing DRL on an Armada

Hi I am about become an Armada owner (2008 LE). I live in Canada and I am buying my vehicle from the US. The US model does not come with DRL (daytime running lights) and this is a requirement in Canada.

...does anyone know how to modify / install DRL on an Armada?

Hi, it's Philip from the Rogue Forum... and a fellow Canadian!

I have not done the DRL mod myself. Other Rogue owners who imported thier vehicles from the US had the DRL install done at Canadian Tire (ugh!). Another member got thier local Nissan dealer in Canada to perform the install.

Canadian Tire is convenient (but IMHO not the best choice) since you need to get a mandatory Federal Inspection done and they are one of the few who are approved to do it. Read more here:

IMHO I would let a Nissan/Infiniti dealer do the install. They have access to the correct wiring diagram, and at least if they mess up they are responsible.

I brought my qx56 in from states recently and canadian tire is the official inspection site for federal inspection. (one of anyway)It made sense to have them do the drl which is quite simple as they use the front side lights on this model not the headlights.Go here to learn about importinghttp://www.riv.ca/english/html/how_to_import.html
