Installing Cruise on '90 coupe

I've searched and read through nearly EVERY thread I've found pertaining to my issue. I have a 1990 SOHC coupe, I want cruise, I've looked at the FSM and I am getting the ASCD system but I was wondering if anyone had ever installed cruise on a car that never had it, specifically, could I wire the system into the car with bare minimum (the 3 buttons off the steering wheel, power, ground, speed wire, and possibly the "on/off" inhibitor switch)?? I think you'd also need the cable for the cruise control. I don't knwo much about it but i took mine off in my sohc-dohc-t swap i can sell it if you make an offer i don't need it.
