thank you for responding, but I already read these instructions before, and i know that installation on a maxima is a bit different than the installation on an I30, because of course the I30 is the american version of the cefiro, and you do not need to do any fabrication when installing the lights.

my question is, do i need to wire the harness to the original headlight wire and splice the parking lights into the side marker. or can i leave all as is and just use the H4s. basically my question comes about because the lights are supposed to 100% match for the I30, with some fabrication needing to be done for maximas.

again thanks alot. i just dont want to screw with this thing before i know exactly whats up.

I am not 100% sure about which bulb is which, since they are all H* somethings.

I do know that all HID bulbs need a ballast, which would require you to splice the ballast into the harness.

Also, most xenon lights draw too much amperage at startup, and will melt the insulation on a normal headlight wire. My buddy had an Eclipse and plugged in xenon bulbs to the stock wiring, and baked the wires all the way beck to the harness connectors.

the bulbs i have in my car right now are 9004 (H3) bulbs, what i want to use are 9003 (H4) bulbs. i dont really know if i can interchange them. i hope the 9003 (H4) wont do any damage to wiring harness and stock wiring.

now here is another question....

how do you do the headlight aim adjustment?

I installed the lights, but didnt think i needed to do any adjustments... so I drove around at night and noticed very little light went directly ahead of me, so in essence i couldnt see directly in front of me in dark areas.

I just went outside and tried to adjust the 2 adjustment screws, and got the lights a little more center, but really i still really cant see ahead of me, more light goes to the side.

Is there a 3rd adjustment screw, i have been messing with this thing for hours now.

PLEASE HELP!

One screw adjusts the up/down, the other, the right left.

So the inner screws do the right/left. Screw "tighter" to get the beams to point closer together and "unscrew" to get them to spread apart.

I've been having this same problem. I also just used the original light and harness. my understanding is that H3 bulbs shoot vertically and H4 shoot horizontally. Or vice versa idk. So they ARE very dim when setup this way.

I also need instructions on where to get an H4 harness and how to wire it up.

Any help would be great!

I know the H4 harnesses are on ebay....

i received mine with the lights, because the dealer on ebay was really cool about that, still havent wired in the harness yet, but yes, in order to get lined up headlights you need to upgrade to the brighter h4 bulbs.

I also received a H4 wire harness with my Cefiro Headlights when I purchased them off eBay. However, the guy that installed them for me found out that the wiring polarity was reversed. The wires on the harnesses were also a little too thin, so he recommended I purchase thicker-gauged H4 wiring harnesses. I was able to find some at AutoZone. The H4 wiring harnesses ARE required in order for the SUPPOSEDLY "brighter" H4 bulbs to work properly. The reason why I say "Supposedly brighter" is because since I had these headlights installed, the H4 bulbs they use actually output a MUCH DIMMER light than my previous stock H3 halogens.

On another note, here is another write-up I found that might help:

Cefiro Headlight Installation:

Okay, when you remove your stock headlights... you must have done the following:1. Remove the screw on top of the corner lights...2. Pop it out...3. Remove the two bolts from the side of the headlights (keep these two bolts.. you will use one later).4. Remove the two nuts from behind the headlights (near the radiator and stuff).

Now, assuming you have spliced the H4 harness and are ready to install the one piece headlights, you will do the following:

1. Put the One piece headlights in place of the OEM headlights, so you will have the longer adjustment stud going through the hole in front of the radiator.2. screw on two nuts behind the headlights (reverse of what you did to the OEM headlights).3. Plug in the H4 harness, and city lights/corner lights (assuming you had done the splicing already).4. Remember the two bolts that you had removed from the side.. Now take one of them and screw in on to the fender (with the stick-out plastic tab coming out of the one piece headlights' corner light portion). This will hold the headlight in place.

Now repeat the other side!

Now for the corner lights. Does your one piece headlight come with the socket to the corner lights? If so, splice it to fit and use that one. If your headlights doesn't come with the corner light socket, you may have to do one of the following to make your OEM side markers fit:

1. Trim the hole on the headlight (hmm. not recommanded---> possible water problem)2. Trim the OEM socket for the corner light to make it fit on the One piece Headlight.
