installing cd player into my 91 240

i got the car a few days ago, and it came with a tape player so i want to replace it with my cd player but want to know what the easiest way to get the tape player out is, the wiring is no problem i just dont want to be taking apart the whole car to get the tape player out if i don't have to

Been a while, but I don't think you need any special tools.

Pop the radio bezel trim by hand (usually area around shifter will pop up pretty easily).

Lay that aside & take out the 4 bolts holding in the player & din pocket.

You should know what to do from there.

For my 95, I just popped the plastic around the shifter out, then the plastic around the air vents out (no screws hold these two pieces), then I just undid the screws holding the Tape Deck, installed my CD Deck, and put it all back together.

Its just that easy, take off the bezeling and unscrew, if you keep that bottom din tray you can re-attach it with your new stereo, there will be a very small gap. Also if you're getting a cd player with a plug for your antenna you're going to have to buy the adapter to make the connection (thats if you want to listen to the radio) I think its like 10 bucks, I got mine at best buy.
