I recommend DEI, easy to install and their warranty is comforting, also they have been dealing with alarms for a long time. What you have in ur car is a starter-kill. It's really up to you what kind of alarm you want, but take it from me, DEI products never fail you.

It depends what features you want included, the alarm/remote start in my s13 is the 550esp model. There is also a 300esp which is JUST an alarm, or the 800esp, which is also JUST an alarm but comes with 7 yes 7 output channels (each channel can be used to turn on or work a specific function in your car i.e: trunk pop, turn radio on, roll windows down, etc...) It's all really up to you what you want, everything is compatable so if you get the 800esp you can always but the add on 150esp, for your remote start. But again it's all up to you.

Places where you can buy the viper products are usually audio/security/performance shop that carries DEI products, big department stores will not allow you to buy the unit unless they install it, they bullshlt and say they worked out a deal and they can't sell it, but really they want your money for the installation, don't get me wrong, DEI only wants professional installing their product or the warranty is voided, but you're looking at a MECP certified man here. =)

I just bought a set of JDM power folding mirrors.. I've been told that you can wire these into your alarm so that they fold in when you arm the alarm. I have some sort of relatively cheap "Micro" alarm. (That's the brand). Seems to be popular at the car audio/alarm places in south alabama anyway..

Any ideas?

O.k. so you got your clutch thing figured out yet? The other thing I was curious about was exactly what model alarm do you have? btw-there is a new password for DEI's website

It's been snowing and cold like crap lately so i have most of my wiring done but i haven't messed with the clutch yet. I'm going to try the diagram Two-Forty put up in one of his replies.

It's a cheaper brand alarm, i keep forgetting to check the name. Is DEI the site with the wiring info. You could've just downloaded the software that way you won't have to keep looking for passwords.

Yeah the DEI website has wiring, and alram info. but also a whole lot more. I use it everyday at work. Passwords come easy since I work for a dealer. When the weather gets nicer let me know if you need more help. no snow here yet last week it was near 70, one day before T-day:)
