Only making my conclusion from past pictures of the cmod grille. These pictures that have been posted here are too small to tell. But even with the pictures posted here, you can see the uneveness.

You can use the emblem you got. dont cut the support bar and fit it on that :bigthumb:

Sweet. Looks like the first mod to my coupe will be the grill :D

Sad. It's only been a month since I got the car and I already want to fix her up.

Were you able to fix it? Having bad fitment makes the car look cheap in person, almost as bad as rice. Keep it stock, fix it, or prepared to be flamed.

Do I see Volks? Your wheels are crying for a detail.

yeah, it's pretty noticeable on white cars. i have some uneven lines too, but since my car's black, it's not as noticeable.

i guess it could be fixed with some sanding, but that would probably be a pain since you've already had it painted

Honestly I could probably just pull the grill out without taking the bumper off or anything. Not really anything holding it in tight, and not nearly as sturdy as the OEM grill. When I was installing it i tried pushing the grill in as much as it could go without cracking it (cheap material), but still sticks out. Maybe need to do some more trimming? You could probably crack the cmod grill by just flicking it with a finger, that's how cheap it is.

Yeah my entire car needs a good detailing. Just waiting for the weather to clear up, its been bipolar over here, nice one day, drops 30 degree's and rains a s*** the next :tisk:

I think your grille might not be installed correctly, you need to make the tabs fit in the bumper oppenings, and if it's like mine you need to trim a little of those tabs in order for them to latch in the bumber so you cannot take it out from the front and it is secure. That should help the lower front fitting also.

I know the 2 top corner ones aren't latched in there. That could be the easy fix. The rest were all straight, only the 2 top corners are curved, and I already trimmed some of it. Did you have to trim it until it was just pretty much straight

don't trim it until it's straight! it needs to be curved to actually latch to the grill. it will probably be tough to to get it in the hole, but it will fix any looseness.

when i trimmed mine, i only had to trim the sides of the latch (it was delivered with latches so wide that it couldn't fit into the holes on the bumper) but i did not trim the bottom of the latch.

painted radiator or not...not sure I'm wild about the transparent design in showing some of the interior guts. With the fitment issues specified throughout this post, think I'm taking C-Mod out of the running for my grill mod choices. I just may paint the grill and mustached flat black (black AC)

Similar reasons of not liking the c-mod grille. The concept is nice and all, but it doesn't work great on our fascia IMO.

Here you go!

1. Remove bumper following the DIY writeup -> http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=293385
2. Remove the factory grille by pushing the plastic clips off of their retainers

Image
Detail of retaining clips and tabs:

3. Install the C-Mod Grille by hooking the top of the Grille and then pushing the bottom clips on to the bumper.
Note: I had to trim a little off the C-Mod Grille upper tabs in order to get the right fitment.

4. End up with a great looking A/C!

where can i get that grill
