Installing black halo headlights housing on 2000 i30t with HID

I was just wondering if anyone had installed the black halo headlight housing on an Infiniti I30T with the HID lighting? I was about to buy some from ebay but the sellers are saying it is not recommended for the i30T on ly the regular i30. Any help would be great!

I don't believe there are any differences in the lighting system between the two. I would ask the seller to clarify their answer as to why it is not recommended for the T.

The differences may be between HID and non-HID headlights. I know my co-workers 2000 I30T has HID's whereas others don't. The 2k2-2k3 Maxima HID's are similar what the 00-01 I30's had as an option.

00-01 I30s had halogen, 9005/9006 headlights00-01 I30ts had HID lowbeams 9005/D2R02-04 I35s all had HID lowbeams 9005/D2R

In short, if you have an I30t or I35, i.e., one of the cars with OEM HID, then those black halo headlights won't be a plug and play installation. You'll be installing halogen headlights in place of your OEM HID. So, the low beams won't plug into the housings unless you buy HID conversion kit bulbs(bad idea), jam the bulb into the housing (really bad idea), or install OEM HID projectors into the new housing and get D2S bulbs (pretty good, but pretty $ idea).
