Hi,Ok before you start yelling (or throwing) rice, just tell youthat the tach I have is the one I had in my old 5.0L Mustang(which I sold last year). As well, I DID use the searchbutton and looked through many posts but nothing came up.Except this one post where all you NICO guys basically rippedthe dude apart for trying to install a shiftlight.

I just kept the tach cuz I figured I may get another 5.0L mustang.

Anywho, I have the tach sitting here and wondered if any of youhad ever installed one (not autometer, but even an aftermarketone).

According to Autometer's manual, the wires on the tach are so:

WHITE = 12V Dash lightingRED = 12V Ignition switch (+)BLACK = GroundGREEN = Coil (-)

I've looked in the FSM but it's all greek to me (still learning).

Any ideas (if you aren't going to be of help, I don't need your comments)?

BTW, Here's the thread you guys totally ripped apart:http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....light

Bye!

Hi,Any idea on which harness or whatever to tap into?

Like where do I find each of those wires I listed (hopefullyyou won't answer sarcastically to this)? :D

Is there a harness that has all those wires on them that Ican tap into?

Hrm, I guess that's more then one question.

Bye!

Ok well I hooked one up in my 75 malibu. Everything has to be connected for it to work even the light wire. and the green one has to be really tight otherwise it wont work. Were you hook up the wires to is up to you and depends on what car you put it on. Hope this helps.

Hi,Qeamore, well, that helps, but more of as a precautionaryand nothing really technically help wise (thanks anyways though).

As for hooking the wires up, is there a certain harness orsomething that I can tap into? This way I don't got wires runningall around the engine bay?

Ok I guess I didn't answer your question really. For the red wire I hooked that up directly to the ignition switch on the wire that keeps the car on. The black wire I just grounded someplace metal. The white wire I used the wire that turns the lights on the radio on when you turn on the lights. the green wire usually goes directly onto the distributor it should say TACH or just TAC on it somewhere. You just have to do some cosmetic work to hid the wires so they arn't all over the place. Mine came out pretty neat.
