Topic says it all. I got a free A/F gauge and I wanted to use it so I was wondering how to correctly install it. There are 3 wires, Black , Red, and purple. The black and red are obvious...Black to ground, Red to acc/on/switch whatever you wanna call it. I heard the purple goes to the o2 but I'm not sure if that's correct and if it does, which wire on the o2? I hope someone can help me. Thanks.

Purple goes to the signal wire on the O2 sensor. Make sure it's the signal wire before you put it on there or you could fry the ECU or sensor. I told my cousin the same thing for his prelude, and he didn't listen. He fried his ecu of course. What he did was he saw 4 wires. 2 blacks and 2 whites. He figured it was one of the white ones. First white he used was the Heater line(negative). The gauge went crazy, so he took it off and put it on the other white line. The second he did this, his car didn't want to start. To his knowledge, the real wire to use was one of the black ones. Just telling the story so you won't be fooled by "conventional" colors of wires. A simple mistake can cost you hundreds.
