Most likely the Air temp sensor, the Coolant temp sensor, and the Throttle position sensor.

the biggest help would be telling us what you have already plugged in.and where did the harness come from?

i have everything else plugged in but thoose three. they are comming from the 2 connector from the left in the picture. i know the tps is a three pin sensor but that plug doesnt fit over the male connector on the sensor. how do i tell between the other two plugs? im not gonna lie im pretty much jumping in head first i know about as much as the instruction manual on racetech website will tell me. its been about a year and a half that ive been trying to get this thing running first with the srock harness and sensors but couldnt figure out what was the matter, so i figured id try the standalone route out. i jus want the car running and to enjoy it if you guns can relate.

i meant more of a list of what you have plugged in like

1 O2 sensor2 TPS3 injectors(x4)4 ignition box5 Idle control

like that, that will help us narrow down what your problem is. (if you havnt noticed, almost all the plugs are 2 prong, so seeing a 2 prong plug means nothing)

have you downloaded the 200sx (s13+ca18det) FSM yet? theres a link to it in the stickies

i STRONGLY reccomend that you print out the ECU diagram on the last few pages, tape all 3 pages together, then laminate, or ghetto-laminate it (stretch clear packing tape across it so you can get it dirty and wash it off)then print out the page that shows where all the plugs go (in case you dont know where teh idle control or TPS is , also helps alot)

it will help IMMENSLY

but listing everything else that your SDS is plugged into will help us narrow down whats left that youd need

i have the ignition coils plugged in, the map sensor plugged in, injectors plugged in, crank sensor, and all i have left is thoose three plugs i sent in the first picture, i have printed that schematic a long time ago and did what you said, i know where the sensors are on the engine, i dont just dont know how to differentiate between thoose three plugs on the actual sds harness, which are the only plugs left that arent plugged in. from the list you left in your last post what i dont have plugged in from that is o2, tps and idle control.

It looks to me like the one on the left is your TPS, the center one is o2 and the one on the right is for the idle control. I got mine used and had to rewire most of the plugs, so it's not quite the same, but that'd be my guess!

Are you trying to plug the middle plug into the black box that is bolted directly to the throttle body, or to the plug that is attached via a set of wires that comes out of that black box?

One of the other wires is for the Engine temperature sensor and may or maynot plug into the harness. The other is the Intake Air temperature sensor plug. The stock setup doesn't have an IAT, you'll have to get one from SDS, or one from a GM, I don't remember the part number off the top of my head right now. The IAT sensor should be installed after the intercooler, befor the throttle body. Don't put it in the intake manifold, as you'll have problems with heat soak. Mine is DIRECTLY infront of the TB, as close as I could get it.

That's not the right plug. There is a wire coming out of that box, THAT is the plug for the TPS. The plug that is part of the black box is actually the throttle fully closed/fully opened switch. The ECCS system used it to know whether to control the idle, and to turn off the A/C at full throttle.

LOL, I'll bet buddy. My AIM is NismoMan240sx, and my yahoo is float_6969. I've got an SDS EM4-F installed on my CA. It's been drivin daily for over a year now w/o any problems. Complete street tune, never really been to the dyno. I got 35mpg on the highway once down to Oklahoma (normally get mid to high 20's) and with my old turbo, I managed 198rwhp at stock 7psi on an SR T25.

standalone rules

So does High compression

91 Octane pwns me though....

I guess I acutally use 92 octane, but I can only get it at BP's. I still have the timing severly retarded so it won't detonate and I think it still does slightly, but I never hear it, my knock sensor just picks it up. It may be hearing my noisy lifters though, so I haven't worried much about it.

35mpg...35mph, whatever, same thing, right?
