Hi, my mom owns an 03' 4-door g35 and the standard bose deck has gone out on us. We are replacing it with a Pioneer Avic D-3. I know we are going to need the trim kit in order to fit a DIN radio, and the guys at soundadvice told me I will need a swix module to make the steering wheel controls work, and also an amp by-pass to use the standard bose speakers.

Can anyone here point me to a DIY or some websites to help me out. I mainly want to know where to get the trim kit and the swix module and how to do the amp bypass. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

you can get the double din conversion kit through grubbs, or you can go ebay, or you can call riverside infiniti(cali) which is who sells it on ebay. That is the cheapest i believe.

The install is pretty straight forward for the deck, for the speakers, I'd just rewire them if i were you (and get an aftermarket amp if it were me).

For the stereo control module (i haven't done this yet) you just need to conversion piece and it should be plug and play into the deck.

Good luck.
