I have the stock premium stereo...the radio on top (single din)..and the cd player section on bottom (single din). The aftermarket stereo is a JVC Arsenal unit...(single din)....so what it needs to be is the JVC on top and a pocket on bottom.24j0hn wrote:what kind of radio do you have? most aftermarket stereos should go right into the stock trim and screw in...
I guess I still need the antenna adapter tho.Nashville91s13 wrote: Glad to know I just need the pocket.
yeah, that you still need.Nashville91s13 wrote:

take out the shifter trim, ash tray, and the trim around the hvac controls. they all should just pop right out. after that, you will see 4 or 5 screws that were hidden by that stuff. take those out and the radio will pull right out. then just unplug the harnesses and unscrew them from teh brackets. wiring up the new radio adapter harness will just be a matter of matching colors. it's really easy.Nashville91s13 wrote:Does anybody have a diagram or list of instructions for disassembling this part of the dash? I don't want to break or crack anything yanking on trim.
Sweet....good to know how it's held on. I hate pulling on something not knowing how it's held on behind it.numbnuts240 wrote:oh, sorry, for some reason i was thinking you were talking about an s14. the "le" threw me off. s13's are even easier. the trim around the shifter and the radio just pops off. start ate the area around the shifter and work your way towards the radio. it might feel like it's going to break, but they're just metal clips and they will just pop out. once that's off, it's just 4 screws holding in the radio and bracket.
if it takes more than 5 minutes to get the radio out then you're doing something wrong.
