Hey guys, just ordered a new spring from EverythingInfiniti. The spring ran me $300 shipped to me overnight, I needed it as soon as possible.

I went to start a front brake job, and when I removed the driver's side wheel what a surprise - one ring of the spring was completely broken off (hanging there), and the remainder of the spring was all c***-eyed and at an angle where it sits on the strut!

Well I tried to get the remainder of the broken spring to sit in the bottom of the strut housing, but I had no luck.

Can someone give me a quick rundown on how to remove the entire strut assembly? I have a friend with a shop, and spring compressor so I just need to take the whole entire unit out, spring and strut, and bring that to him with the new spring as well.

Never removed the struts on the J30 before, some information would be greatly appreciated!

All this the day after my fuel pump died!

Thanks for any help!
