Installing a High Level Converter (adding an amp)

I'm adding an amplifier and woofer in my V and in order to do so I need to install a high level converter to add RCA outputs.

Has anyone done this already? What's the easiest way of doing this?

I was thinking of just tapping into the rear speakers. Does anyone know the colors of the rear speaker wires so I don't have to remove the door panels???
