So true though... Most people think it's a really huge deal to do this, but as long as you have the tools (most of which you can borrow, or in the worst case rent) you can get this done in a few hours. It's a relatively simple mod to do, and just think of the satisfaction you'll feel when you know that you've done work on your own car! Just my $0.02...

It took me and a buddy a few ours just to properly compress and install one front spring...

I agree with the satisfaction bonus though

Yeah, I guess that's true...the first time I swapped out springs on a car it took me about an hour and a half to figure out how to properly compress the damn spring!!! The first corner of that car took me about 2.5 hrs to do... Once I had figured it all out, the opposite side on the front only took me 30 minutes.

If this is your first time doing springs, give yourself about 3hrs for the front, and 1hr for the rears...

Just make sure you print out the instructions from the DIY section here on NICO (the Versa forum also has an excellent DIY for springs as well, and details a very good method of doing the rears). Also, get some brew and a buddy to come over and give you a hand!

It's the only MOD I never attempted, I was told you need a Spring Compressor.

I do try to work on my Coupe as much as possible.

spring comperssor and impact are the tools you may have to rent. But if you follow the write-up it shouldn't take you more than a couple hours.

I did mine in my driveway with hand tools (wish I had air tools here!) and a rented spring compressor from auto zone. took me alittle less then 3 hrs by my self, and didnt cost me a dime, after i took the compressor back n got my cash back.

Get a friend to help and I'm sure you can cut that time in half.

Yup...that is where I had my springs installed. 120 was not bad at all. Still not bad. I heard another guy paid 220. Ouch.
