I bought my boyfriend a digital climate control for his birthday. He has an '89 240...

He said he heard you have to have an SR ECU & wiring harness, along with all the sensors of course, to work...is this true, and is there any way around it (seeing that he does not have, not will ever have an SR)...?

Thanks!

Bah! That's a lot of work for something so insignificant. I'd rather have just my HUD to worry about than another digital part that will go haywire and render my climate control useless. Speaking from experience....the less digital an old car is, the better. The parts are expensive from Nissan, and its hard to find s13s/s14s in junkyards (around here at least). Unless someone is electronically inclined, or if they know someone who's an electrical engineer then i'd say go for it.

Maybe when your figure out how to do it then, I will do my since I got the controller, I don't think its that hard to get the wires! Since I think Eric has two Junk Clip behind the Shop! LOL
