So today I was in the process of installing my oil cooler, transmission cooler, oil filter relocation kit, and the following gauges: vacuum/boost, transmission temperature, oil pressure and oil temperature.

I’m using 2 B&M transmission coolers like these: http://www.racerwheel.com/bm-70265.htmlThey are aluminum staked plate, which are more efficient then tube and fin, so you can a use a small one. They are very universal; you only get the core, which can be bad, since you have to buy everything. I’m using one as on oil cooler and the other as a transmission cooler.

The oil relocation kit is a Perma Cool: http://www.permacool.com/Catalog/Cat_page27.html

And the gauges are all Autometer sport compact serieshttp://hp.autometer.com/produc....htmlI choose these because they are the closest match to my stock gauge cluster

Today I only got to do the transmission cooler and temperature sender. And mounted the oil cooler.

I got the best place to mount them, instead of mounting them in front of the radiator and air-conditioning condenser, which will block air flow and the coolers will just warm the whole system up, it defeats the point of having extra coolers. So what I did was cut two holes in my bumper that are designated for fog lights and mounted the coolers right in front of them, so they have direct air flow, and won’t restrict the main cooling system

This is before they were cut, notice the two holes on the bottom right and left on the dumper

My transmission fluid is routed in the following way, goes out into a T fitting where on one end a temperature sender is hooked up, into the radiator, then into the cooler then back into the transmission.

Have a few pictures

On the left is the future oil cooler.

Both cooler installed

Tomorrow hopefully I will install the oil relocation kit, put the temperate and pressure senders. Route the oil cooler, and install all the gauges.

How is this KAT related? Well this is the first step on my turbo kit, I have an oil cooler many over look because when the turbo is oil cooled it puts extra stress on the whole cooling system.

Updates and more pictures coming tomorrow

lookin good, you got a replacement bumper to get air to those coolers or are you gonna cut out those areas where it looks like fog lights should go.

I also thought about doing this for my integra a few years ago but was too lazy back then, props ;)

I cut the holes, here is the finished product

And here is the T-fiting with the temperature sensor

the oil relocation kit works and thread to the block you can use the stock filter. What they did is have an adapter for the block and an adapter for the filter mounting thing.

When I run out of hose, and the T fitting I had didn’t fit after replacing it twice, I called it quits put the stock oil filter back on, assembled the car.

All I have is wire the gauges

Update:

worked out the problem with the temperature sender, turns out it is supposed to be grounded...and while doing that I think I broke one of the gauge, I emailed autometer about the problem see how that turns out.

Installed oil temp and oil pressure gauges, everything looks sick

oil pressure installed but sender isn't hooked up...because I don't where it goes, any help will be much appreciated.

time for some pics: (higher resolution is available in the first link in my sig)

Yes they are, there is a 194 bulb in the back of the gauge, its pretty bright, however I replaced them with blue LED’s to match my gauge cluster. I'll try to take a few pictures of them light up

Firs two are with the LED’s (sorry for the poor quality, digi cam doesn’t like the dark)This one is with the stock bulb and a green cover that comes with the gauge

What about rocks hitting your coolers? Couldn't it cause a leak?If so, you could throw some flat black mesh down there.
