Hey,

i havent posted in a while. I finally got a front mount and with that and my turbo setup (IHI RHC6 turbo) my injectors max out at just 12psi. its pushing 270whp and im already at 125% duty cycle on my injectors. so its time for an injector upgrade.

my friend has some stock 440cc supra injectors (low impedence top feed) and is giving them to me. ive read the bolt in just you need to wire some resistors. can i use regular 10watt resistors from radio shack? also do i wire it into the positive or negative side of the injector?

once i get these 440cc in then im tuning for 350WHP++!!

Frosted, there was a big conversation on low vs hi imp injectors in the KA-T forum. The original poster was asking the same question you were. Someone posted a .bmp drawing of how to wire in a resister box, but thats as much as Ive seen.

I always hear how 'simple' it is to do, but it seems like no one has actually done it (or theyre just not willing to share...)

Or you could try to pick up a resistor pack from an R32 GT-R.

Wire them in on the battery side, just like in the R32 FSM.

if you use mk3 supra injectors in the rb20 you also need to use the intake manifold isolators, the rb ones are too small.swap the rb upper isolators on to the supra injectors are they are slighly fatter.trust me on this i was the guy who said they would fit and luckily my intake manifold was off the car when i fitted them.you will need new injector leads as the rb ones are offset keyed where as the supra ones are straight on, else you can cut the key off the injector, but i dont reccomend this.as for resistors ive got like 20 high quality 10ohm 10watt resistors that are _much_ smaller than the ceramic ones at radio shack, email me if interested will be much cheaper than buying those donkey ceramic ones.

kool. thanks guys thats awesome.

yeah i have the wiring clips for the injectors from the supra harness. so all i need to do is wire a 10ohm 10watt resistor inline on the power side? kool.

i have some 10ohm resistors but i think they are only 1/2watt. do i need the higher wattage?

ive measured the supra injectors and they are 3.5ohms each so yea i 10ohm resistor would be perfect to make them 13.5ohms like the FSM says.

carl, have you gotten your car to run when u wired them in like that?

power=V^2/R=14*14/20=10 Watts, assuming the injector is also about 10 ohms.

So no, the 1/2 watt resistor will go up in smoke.
