Anyone have the Walbro 255lph pump? I just got it installed and when the gas tank is full, the gauge doesn't go all the way to the top. It is inaccurate. I have another friend with a 240/SR and it does the same thing.

Any ideas? Also when I take my car to fill up on gas, it overflows. Don't know why it does this. I don't think anything is wrong with the nozzle at the Amoco gas station... dunno why it would overflow.

Lol.. i had close to the same problem, but myne bounced around like nutts when it would be near 1/2 full.. It corrected itself after a couple days though... Did you hit the floater on anything or bend the rod at all?

I don't think the floater was hit or bent... a friend of mine put it in for me.

I dont understand why that would be, my kit used the stock bobber and sensor if I recall correctly.

Mine went in fine and the gauge read's accurate. You had to have bent that float to make the gauge off.

That's your problem, "if you want somthing done right......"

Check the float, it's either bent, or hung up on somthing.

Mine is pretty bad too. I used to be able to run it down to where I add like 16 gallons, now when it started getting just slightly below E it starts sputtering and running out of gas. Then I fill it up and I add about 14.5 gal! It should have nearly 3 gallons left, but it runs out at 14! grr.. Who knows...

There should be no issues at all. The fuel Pump has little to do with the level signal. If it was working correctly when u put it in, and you followed all of the instructions, it should be working right.

Now, What I would do is remove everything again and double check that the float is not caught on anything. I remember when I did mine, The little wire sensor part that goes in the tank was heavily rusted, with lots of rust on the portion where the float signal actually swipes the wire contacts. I gently used a small peice of sandpaper to scrape some of this stuff off. Never had an issue.

Now dont ask me about the bursting lines.....

I have a 3000gt fuel pump in my s13. When i fill the tank it reads 3/4 full, and it was installed perfectly. I think its some unfixable problem.

Where can I get this Denso one I hear people mention from time to time? Seems like these Walbro's are crappy from what you guys are saying.
