Hey guys! I'm new here and I just wanted to say hello.

I just got a '90 240sx about 3 weeks ago for 2300. It was a really good deal...the mileage is 101,XXX. the interior and exterior looks great (he babied that car!). The only problem with it was that the clutch needed to be replaced, so we lowered the price to 2300 (the original cost was 2600). It was a good thing he agreed because I only had 2300.

My bro let me use his credit card to get a clutch kit and decided to get a SPEC clutch, which was about 300. blah blah.

Well that was the first time I have ever done anything on a car, but it was cool because my bro helped me out and I did a lot of research on the installation. I'm glad to say that it went very smoothly! No problems whatsoever. The only hard part was putting the transmission back up because we only used one jack. took us about 3 days (3 hours a day)...remember we didn't have any experience with this whole thing.

It felt really good to actually work on my own car.

okay that's all...later everyone! ohh yeah..the clutch is great!

I'd say I've had my SPEC clutch for about 1000 or so miles... Probably more. I am very pleased with it and think that you will be too. Where did you buy it from?

Yeah, I enjoyed driving my car (well always did) but the head gasket blew on Thursday. So now I'm kinda out of aa 240 for a little while.

krazy -- what kind of pads are on your Stage 3? Cermaic, Kevlar, Other? If ceramic.. does it make alot of noise?

Agreed. I've had my SPEC for about 4000 miles, and its SO great. I left a 7 foot patch of rubber on the ground the other day ... IN SECOND GEAR! I couldn't believe it. That's how well the SPEC holds (I also have teh stage 1).

I have the Stage 2 right now, still grips as good as it did when I first installed it about 20,000 miles ago. Even after hard driving everyday, and numerous clutch dumps. Gonna probably go with the stage 3 next.If anyone's looking for a SPEC clutch, we offer them.

I honestly dont know what its made of enjuku says carbon or ceramic. Thats where i got it. the only sound i hear is when i am decelerating and i dont think its the clutch. its a bit jump if you dont watch it but really for what it will handle it is very streetable i drive mine every day in stop and go and so forth it really is not bad at all, and it catches beutifully.
