Just installed s15 turbo, stock fpr stock injectors walbro pump. checked for boost/ vacuum leaks all have been fixed, but at idle according to the aem wideband i'm running between 16.5-18.0 and around 15-17 cruising what could cause this. The wideband is new like a week old and under boost running fine like 11.8 to 12 all the way to redline. before the new turbo used to be hella rich at idle like 10's and 11's

I'll be nice and help you.

Read the stickies. Search. The answers are there.

For this one time, buy a new FPR. An adjustable one. Nismo type-a works. Set fuel pressure to 36 psi. Don't ask how to set fuel pressure, it's in the stickies.

I was under the impression that bigger injectors were needed for t28s. I am interested to know as i am thinking of a turbo upgrade down the line, but don't want to change injectors, maf and the assosciated tune, just got an safc, which is only for finetuning. Back to OP.U didn't mention anything about a tune though. I would assume some tuning would be required.

mine runs perfect under boost so a tune is not needed and i'm rocking 14 psi. Only problem i had is i dont think the maf can handle much over 14 cause if the boost spikes a tiny bit over 15 i get hardcore fuel cut. And i'm getting an adjustable fpr i pinched off my return fuel line and my idle afr's went way down so it looks like that will fix my lean issue. So it will be down for a few more days . ALso no need for clocking adapters cause i cut down my stock flange and adjusted my intercooler piping right in no problems. I just made the oil feed line and i ended up using a friends stock sr t25 inlet flange cause the stock ca turbo's flange is part of the turbo. You can also cut down the ca return tube and drill out new holes for the return line cause the s15 return bolt pattern is closer together. For how little it cost to do this turbo upgrade its well worth it.

I can't wait to hear about a cracked ring land, a blown headgasket or a melted piston. This should be fun.

You are about 40% over the safe limits of the stock ECU and fuel system with a GT28R and that much boost.

regulator is coming soon and i have a aem wideband if it says 11.8 its that under boost seems fine to me and if it blows its not my dd so then its time to go bigger . I have access to 97 or 99 eclipse gs-t injectors anyone know anything about them what size and if there high or low impedance.winter is coming so i got alot of time to save up for a tune and possibly an safc.

those should be 450s, check if they have the blue top on them. And they are direct drop in as a DSM uses drop resistors like our CA... i know... i have a dsm drop resistor on my car hahaha

We need a "facepalm" smiley...

They are not good for any level of horsepower. They are good for a flow rate at a certian volume of air. But, to oversimplify the answer for you, about 350-400whp should be doable. But, again, it all depends on tuning and ancillary modifications.

Yea, this sounds funny. I'm REALLY supprised that the stock injectors are keeping up at 14 psi on an otherwise stock fuel system.

Are you sure the injectors haven't been upgraded?

And a stock MAF. I hit boost cut around 14-15psi on a T25G with a KA MAF.

there is always the chance they could have been changed cause before the turbo swap the wideband pretty much stayed way below 10 all the time. But i'm getting those 450's and a tune over the winter so next year i'm gonna shoot for 300hp.

I'm running stock injectors with the GT28R at 13-14 psi. Holding alright at 11-11.5 afrs, but with all the supporting mods, walbro, fpr and Horsham Stage 2 chip. I did notice richer AFR while cruising with the new chip tho.

Not sure how far up on the duty cycle Im at.

SWEET! Has there always been one?

I am confused about the lean idle. I suspect it is a pressure issue, but that is odd how it richens past stoic so readily. Have you looked at your MAF?

I tried the old school pinch the return line a lil bit and the afr drops it prob is pressure. I have'nt been driving it till i get the fpr and go from there but it takes till i get any kind of boost to richen up so its not really richening up quick. Has anyone used the sard fpr or should i just do the nismo one.
