I installed a header on my S13 from a S14.I have a space a little over a foot missing from the back of the header to the cat.

HELP! Would any S14 parts help here (like the pre-cat) or would i need a custom pipe fitting?

I'll post pics in a minute...

Here's pics of the gap...

The total gap is like 10 inches, but it goes straight out from the cat then angles to the left (passenger side) a little bit. I may have to take it to a exhaust shop or welder's to get a precise fit... especially with that strange fitment on the header side.

Uhh, the stock mani plus the downpipe was the whole distance that it used to take up. THIS is a S14 Header on a S13. I guess the S14's pre-cat used to hook up there.

the way that the header has that ball joint there leads me to believe that the header should have come with another pipe. it would have a dished section that would mate to the ball section and allow for some torquing of the engine. But i usually see that design take place of a flex pipe, which our cars don't have.

Interesting to see that it "fits"..Yeah, muffler shop that up for a "cheap" fix.

They follow the stock 4 into 2 into 1 design more closely than my set... It even connects the same pipes together as stock!Too much bling for my taste though. I would have to mess-up the finish a little...Yeah! the bolt on pipe at the end is what i need. How much do you all think the filler pipe would cost to have it created with the brackets on it? Do I need to go find brackets for it?

I would just take it to a muffler shop and have them put a pipe in between there. Couldnt cost you too much I wouldnt think..
