I installed a pioneer head unit, and connected all the wires that color matched etc... no bose system either.

Everything sounds great but it won't pick up hardly anything... only the strongest 2 stations in my area...

Is there a power line for the antenna? I did connect the antanna to the back of the head unit before someone asks...

Didn't know if anyone had any insight.

did you connect the blue remote antenna wire on the antenna adapter?

I had the same problem when I had installed my Pioneer 9600 headunit. I had connected the blue remote antenna wire to the antenna adapter and still had bad reception.....I couldn't understand why.

If you have an antenna adapter made for the 07/08 altima, then it should have the blue power wire ready to go, already plugged in. Uts just a harness.

Same thing just happened to me. Try sticking a wire hanger in the antenna slot on the head unit (and make connection) and see if you can pick up reception. If you can, its something to do with the wiring or you have a bad adapter. If you can't, its a probelm with the head unit.

I contacted my vendor and they are sending over a new adapter.

I don't know if the harness for your car is the same as the 08 but I had the same problem because the antenna wire in the harness was pushing out instead of connecting when I was putting everything together.

Yeah Phall is right, I was having the same problem after I installed my JVC 810 with the HD radio adapter. I thought HD radio required an insane antenna, but I found out that altima coupe radio harness are retarted, everytime you plug it in, it pushes out the black connector. WHat I did was pulled out the black cord from the connector(the other motorolla end goes into your head unit) and plug that directly into the Middle plug of the Nissan radio adapter(the slot that was getting pushed out when connecting the harness) Then, you clip the tiny wire on the left of the harness(suppose to connect to the blue cord on the harness) and after you clip it, connect that to your blue cord on your head unit. PM if it sounds confusing.
