Well, I finally got my Drive + Play installed. This device runs your iPod music player. The read-out screen tells you what playlist you have stored in your iPod while the little knob controls your scrolling through your iPod. Its actually a cool addition to my sound system. The installation was ok. I had the store install it and they did a decent install. The guy didn't want to drill holes in the dash so he found ways to run the cord between some of the panels. Thats fine with me...I guess. I don't care for the gap that was left between my stereo panel and air condition panel. Unfortunately, he couldn't find a decent spot to install the control dial between the two front seats so he had to install it on the face of the air condition panel. I was hoping that there was an internal aux input but he ended up plugging it in from the face and then hid the wires behind the panels- thats the only thing I don't like is the wire coming from the front. Does anyone know if there's an internal aux input other than the one on the face? Anyway, the system works really well though.

Now for those of us who are somewhat gadget stupid, what exactly does that thing do?

I just did some editing so that the rest of us can understand what this device does. Sorry for not explaining what this device does earlier. Peace.

There's no internal aux, but perhaps I can find a new way for you to route that wire. I'm finally getting around to setting up the antenna in my car today, so I'll have the panel off, I'm sure theres a better way to hide it. Ideally, there should be two half panels, in your case, this way you'd be able to feed the wire into the crease and therefore make it hidden. This is why I enjoy having my AUX in on the back of my Kenwood; the only place you can see the minijack is where it meets my iPod.
