Well I had some spare time today so I went about installing this FMIC I had sitting around. I bought the R33 GTS-T kit from Powerdigger, in hopes the piping would work on my RB20 in my 240. Luckily it did :) Everything fit pretty well. All the pipes mated up perfectly except one, but that one was close enough that it was still able to work. The only thing about the R33 GTS-T kit that didn't work for me were the supplied intercooler mounting brackets. I had s spare SR20 Hybrid kit sitting around though so I stole the brackets off of that one. There is also a bracket connecting the crossover intercooler pipe to the engine that doesn't line up with the RB20, but I know I can rig something up there to make it work.

The hood skeleton also had to be cut out some for the piping. I thought I cut out enough but it turns out the pipe's still hitting so I'm going to have to cut out another section tomorrow. The hood will at least close though. I'll get some pics up in a day or two.

Good to hear. How long did it take to ship out to you?

Alos, what bumpers are people using to fit these front mounts?

I think shipping took about a week and a half. It wasn't too bad. As for the bumper, I'm using my stock (1990) bumper. I just trimmed it a bit and the intercooler fits nicely.

Ok for some pics go to http://www.anberoka.com/240/index.html

They're kinda big so if you're on 56k beware.

I ordered it directly from Powerdigger. I'm not sure if they sell the i/c piping separately, but I bet they will. Hopefully before too long I'll have some details ironed out with those guys and will become a NICO sponsor so I can start getting you guys some good deals on these things ;)

620 seems like a great price, especially with shipping overseas.

I think bali's kit might be for the s13, not skyline. I found powerdiggers site. I think the conversion came out to around 900 bucks. They also wouldn't sell me just the piping.

Oh well, time for custom piping then.

wga do you still have the SR20 piping kit for the Monster Hybrid? if you don't need it, I'll GLADLY buy it... I bought my intercooler straight form them 3 months ago when the plan was still RB25.. they had NO piping at the time, now I am trying to get them to sell me SR20 piping and they won't do it seperate :( If you still have it and can sell it I'd love to snatch it up.

Well my dad owns the SR20 kit, but I'll ask him for you. He was planning on getting an SR20 but has since ordered an RB20. If it looks like he's going to get his RB I bet he'd sell it for a very fair price. If not, then he'll go SR probably so he'll want to keep it.

I'll ask him and let you know though :)

I am also trying to make some brackets, and the enjuku hotpipe isn't fitting for shiznit in comparison to the hybrid lower hotpipe?? woe is me for not just using the SMIC to make sure the car would run right hah

VIEW MY THREAD..... MISC CAR PICS. I HAVE A PICTURE OF MY CUSTOM BRACKETS THAT YOU CAN GET AT MOST HARDWARE STORES.

I JUST CUT THE WHOLE CENTER SECTION OUT OF THE BUMPER SUPPORT AND LEFT THE TWO ENDS.

We've found for the bumper support it works pretty well if you cut slits past the end of the intercooler and bend the center section downwards and weld it back to itself. It sounds kinda weird but gets it out of the way while still maintaining structural rigidity.

As far as the hotpipe, so far we haven't had a problem with several different brand hotpipes matching up to the intercooler piping. I dunno what's wrong to make your Enjuku not match up with the intercooler piping.

enjuku pipe = 2.25" hybrid pipe = 2"

angle between them = 30-45 degrees, gap between them = 1-2"

made for a change in size,a gap, and an angle... I found a 45 degree bend radiator hose that worked. Now that I've properly placed and secured the intercooler I'll have to hook the pipes back up and they may in fact be slightly different in position and fit a lot better.

I'll take a few picts later on how mine came out, yours looks sweet Project. My lower brackets I cut out of a piece of steel I bought at Orchard Supplies. The top ones are made out of a piece of thin sheet aluminum... those took the longest because I had to make sure the intercooler was in the right place then drill the holes. They are a little bendable and thin, but the bottom ones are extremely strong so I think it'll be ok.
