I have just installed an LSD from a European 200sx, now I dont accellerate like i could before. Im thinking that the gear ratio might be diffrent because the car it came from had an SR20 and my stock KA doesent have the horse power to turn it sence its a lot harder to turn the LSD than it is to turn the open diff. what do you think?

the diff could be tore tore up an what you think is resistance(slow acceleration) is actually a lack of resistance(power is lost in hazed diff). You might want to pull the fill plug and give it a sniff, smell burned?

Well.. your problem is the LSD from the 200SXs in the UK have about a 3.63 gearing where as the US models have 4.08 gearing which makes for quicker acceleration but a lower top speed.

like i figured, I wish I thought of that before I got it. Ill just reinstall the old diff, no big deal. Anyone want a LSD with a 3.63:1 ratio?

I am getting LSD around Jan03. Still deciding to go with used VLSD or KAAZ. My friend says he can get me a hookup of KAAZ 2way installed for $800 versus used VLSD $350 plus installation...

I was wondering if anyone installed the KAAZ 2way on a S13 before. Is it hard? I read some instructions but it wasn't very clear... anyone got any recommendations? I would settle for used if its cheaper -_-; really on a limited budget here...

the back of the LSD has a diffrent cover. Its got 2 oil lines one in and one out along with three wires which hook to sensers. the rest of the LSD is the same except for the gear ratio and a ABS sensor. All the 200SX's ive seen in europe have this feature. The accelleration sucks with a stock KA24 my 0-60 speeds were a sad 11 seconds and 1/4 mi times were 19 seconds at 70MPH I almost forgot that I was timeing the car by the time I got there. Installing the LSD is easy (20 bolts total). I had access to a lift and a trany jack which made it easy otherwise it could be a pain
