Well I've searched everywhere and can't seem to figure out what I've done wrong.

I installed a remanufactured head on my KA24E as well as a new timing chain kit and made sure that everything lined up accordingly, but the car runs like crap.

The engine's firing becomes more consistent as I adjust the top of the distributor to the right, but it's only decent when it's as far as it can go with the bolts removed.

Any ideas? I'm really in need of some help!

Thanks,Matt

did you put the dist. on right, and did you put the plug wires back on in the correct order

Thanks for replying.

Yeah, the distributor is on correctly and I have the wires in the following order:

Clockwise and beginning from the lower right while looking at the dist. from the driver side fender

1-3-4-2

so it's like this

4 2 3 1

I'm pretty sure that's right because that's the way I've always had it.

so you double checked your timing? the chain could be off a tooth. very possible that you have a vac leak as well.

First off, props on finishing a biatch of a job.

Did you have the engine at TDC when you aligned the oil pump and shaft when you reinstalled the oil pump? For that matter, did you make sure you installed the silver links in the chain on the marks on the crank and cam?

Also as Chris said, it could be vacuum leak. Check any hoses you removed during the chain process and make sure everything's plugged in and not cracked.
